Dear Friends and Supporters

I’m Bill Young.  Welcome to my Web site.

As you know, I’m the Democratic candidate for State Representative in District 58 of the Commonwealth of Kentucky.  I'm pleased that you wanted to visit and find out more about me.

My motto is “Putting People First,” and I want you to know that I take this seriously.

I was the first member of my family to attend college, and while I might have chosen a more lucrative vocation, I’ve spent my entire career as an educator.  I’ve been a teacher, counselor, coach and principal. The experience could not have been more rewarding.

I've spent my life in this area.  I know your concerns.

You're probably worried about finances.  Are you better off now than you were six years ago?  I’ve been scouring Spencer and Shelby counties, and have yet to find someone who answers “yes.”

Undoubtedly, you're worried about the expense of putting your children through college, or paying for college yourself.  You may even be worried about whether your children will get through high school.

And lastly, you're probably worried about the availability and cost of health care.  We all have reason to be.

The economy.

Education.

Health care.

In a nutshell, that’s what my campaign is all about.  And because I put people first, I intend to make these my three priorities when I get to Frankfort.

I invite you to accompany me on my journey.

And I ask for your vote.
